Arrival/Departure: As soon as you have booked your trip, fill out this form, which will notify our manager on site.

Insurance: Ensure that you have adequate insurance coverage during your stay in France, including illness, accident, property damage, etc. Please note that your home insurance may be insufficient and that additional travel insurance or similar may need to be arranged in advance.

To be eligible for emergency medical and dental treatment at the same costs as French citizens you will need a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). You must be insured by or covered by a state social security system in any Member State of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland or the United Kingdom. Each family member traveling with you must have his/her own card. You need to obtain your EHIC card by contacting the health insurance institution, where you are insured before you depart to France. Please note that it can take several weeks to receive the EHIC card.

Accessibility: Hôtel Chevillon is not accessible for wheelchairs.

Pets: are not allowed and smoking prohibited anywhere except for e-cigarettes which can be used on terraces.

Indoor climate: The floors are cold and the stone houses are not heated in the way that you might be used to. For your comfort please bring indoor slippers and a warm sweater, especially if you stay during the winter months. In the summer the stone houses bring pleasant coolness, on the other hand.

Working materials: There is an art supply store "Plein Ciel" in Fontainebleau (see “Amenities nearby”) but none in Grez-sur-Loing. Therefore bring as much of your working material as possible from home to Hôtel Chevillon.

There is one black and white printer in the library at Hôtel Chevillon for common use. There are also two other printers to be shared between the residents.

ATM: There is no ATM/Cash machine in Grez. You will have to go to either Fontainebleau or Nemours to withdraw cash.
